Happy Monday, everybody!

I have been focusing on making comics lately and here is the first one! What's this?!? A comic regarding the origins of the universe?!? How appropriate! I'm really excited to see the direction that this new artwork will take. At the moment, I'm just putting more emphasis on making work than anything else . . .

What a great time to begin thinking about Christmas!  It's approaching very soon, and before you know it, we'll be in 2013.  

If you are experiencing all the holiday hustle and bustle this time of year brings, just try to relax and remember the real reason for the season . . . 
              . . . Jesus Christ!

Don't let the trappings of this world get you down, and remember that those material things will eventually be destroyed by moths and rust.  It's not to be our goal, building up a pile of toys and possessions.  We should be storing our true treasures in Heaven.

These are some pictures of the Christmas trees I have decorated this year.  The top picture is my "Harvest" tree.  Of all the themed trees I've done, this is still my favorite.  

This second tree has white and gold colors, with an Angel on top.  

No matter how you decorate this year, or if you decorate at all, I invite you to just experience the warmth and love of this season.  Not a vague love, but the love that can only come from God.

A "b'rakhah" in Hebrew is a blessing said before meals.  This word is often translated into "give thanks" or "bless" in English language Bibles.  So, in most instances, where the Bible says "He gave thanks" or "He blessed them", it literally means that the above blessing was said.

Today, we gather together with our loved ones, to celebrate the abundance we have.  The first Thanksgiving was in 1621, to celebrate the first successful harvest.  It's been almost 400 years since that first Thanksgiving!

Today is our First Anniversary!

This recipe is made using fresh cranberries, and you'll love it so much more than that canned stuff!

Candied Walnuts are a great addition to many fall foods, like sweet potatoes, squashes and pumpkin pies!  They are great in salads, on ice cream, or even added to chicken salad sandwiches!

So, this last week has been so busy!  

Last Saturday was my birthday and Victor made me a Pineapple Upside Down Cake :)  He did such a good job!

Despite not having made any plans in advance, it turned into quite the birthday weekend . . . . 

Recently, I had the opportunity to make this faux fur coat for someone.  Since they only needed it for one day, now it's mine!  

You see, we had a movie themed party at work, and we chose the movie 101 Dalmatians.  This coat was made for Cruella Deville!

After graduating with my bachelor's last year, I've been struggling with getting my momentum going. Even though I was glad to have finally reached my goal,  I felt exhausted from all the years of work that I put into getting there. I didn't truly feel inspired to draw or make anything until almost a year later.
